About the scholarship


  • The Bursary, established by the Queensland Government to recognise the 40th anniversary of the 1967 Constitutional referendum, is named in honour of the late Lambert McBride - an advocate and lobbyist for Queensland Indigenous rights. The purpose of this bursary is to encourage and assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to complete their tertiary education at a Queensland university.
